We have lots of tribal conflicts threatening the stability of Nigeria as one state. Imagine, the feeling of being better than others, and that others are of lower class – the source of our problems.

How can we weed out tribal superiority and encourage Nigerians to associate more with members of other tribes and ethnic groups? How can we discourage one tribe throwing disrespectful and distasteful jabs at each another?

As president, I’ll request to eliminate “State of Origin”, “Quota System” suspends all “traditional fathers and title holders” from the constitution!

History is starring at us; as we dance naked in the market square, with bags of tribal sentiments. For ‘in our diversity lies our unity.’

Would you rather live in the torments of tribalism and ethnicity? If we are intent on change, then it has to be more than nail polish.

What is all this talk about scrapping state of origin angry angry angry angry angry angry angry

Shouldn't one come from somewhere at first?
If we scrap it, then where would the representatives in the house and senate come from and represent.
there is a reason why why countries are subdivided into provinces, states, municipalities and it is based on cultural, traditional, socio-economic peculiarities of the areas. We must not allow the sentiment of pretense to force unity.

Unity must evolve from diversity (thats what makes it unity angry angry angry)
Different groups bringing their different gifts for the common good.

In our case we the masses kill each other over issues we should deal with the elites and politicians over.

Has anyone noticed that
- The politicians and their supporters don't bother about state of origin, quota system etc.
- They are united when it comes to corruption and looting (no religious, tribal, cultural sentiments come into play)
- They celebrate together, attend childrens weddings etc together while we keep busting our heads over none- issues.

We must all keep our individual identities and project it in a way to foster togetherness.

It will be irritating cos you can't cheat a Yoruba man and not regret in the end.

All the nonsense you lots were doing under GEJ, appointing Igbos under Lagos slot at federal level claiming they were born in Lagos won't fly ever again.

"I before others".. The East belongs to only Igbos but other regions belongs to every Nigerian (Igbos inclusive). Greedy bunch.

tribalism, state of origin and quota system are the reasons why:
1. intellectuals resident in a state fold their arms watching clueless indigenous elements run state affairs.
2. an Hausa man must play for super eagle (musa)

for one Nigeria, we must see ourselves as one with different state of resident.
the current system have effectively divide the country which had bred hate, frustration, corruption and slow development

The younger generation has to decide what we want to do with this nation.
Either to go the selfish way of our elders and let tribalism/ethnicity rule over our psyche ,

Or
Scrap the entire tribal /ethnic groups and merge into one village, one culture that will be more united and pro development, well organized to recognize all citizens as Nigerians first.

We should develop one distinct language / cultural practice that will be adapted from the existing ones and teach it to our children. Then we have the ingredients for having a true black superpower

Kudos to you op
