CryptoCurrency is volatile. And it is that volatility that this case scenario depicts.
Pricing of the coins & items changes per second.
Trading is done like in Stockexchange of any financial system to avoid potential contentious issues.
In the ideal setting, you haggle and agree on the exchange/fiat rate of commodities intended to be traded AT THE PREVAILING VALUE OF THE COMMODITY EXACTLY AT THAT TIME OF TRANSACTION. This exchange rate and the prevailing value of a unit of the the commodity at that time is what is used to calculate or determine the volume of the commodity.
Please, note here that you must both agree on the VOLUME OF BITCOINS to be exchanged, AND NOT THE DOLLARS.
Any change in pricing as a result of volatility outside this agreed deal must not affect the trade. It's safer to put a window of timing to the transaction wherein the payment must be made and commodity transferred, and outside which the deal can be cancelled.

But most traders use the Dollars in place of the Bitcoin which is very wrong.
Bitcoin volume is constant while its value is continously changing.
And this is what I tried to let most of traders I dealt with know but only a few are quite receptive to that idea.

Soooo, it's just that you are the victim of the volatility of Cryptos here.
It could have swung the other.

As we all can see from your chats, there was an agreement before striking the deal And honestly, he bought at a high rate of 380 so u won't expect him to pay you anything back.

If you contacted him few minutes after the deal, it's even more better cos he can send u back your bTc value (in bitcoin not dollars) but u came back 4 hours later and what if btc was 9000$ then? . The deal is done, u guys should move on

I understand your pain. I also sent 3000usd BTC to a guy, and he paid for the value on Blockchain which was 2937 USD. I lost 63usd in the process.

The truth is... Agreement was reached. And I believe your agreement was "pay for value on Blockchain". If willian10 doesn't pay up the 50usd or so, it can't hold against him.

It only takes Goodwill if willian10 decides to return the btc, deducting his tx fee.

Hello everyone, sorry to disturb you I know this is too long but just need to clarify something........... So I had a BTC transaction with WILLIAN10 and agreed on the rate and everything. Sent him the bitcoin and he paid. After a few hours, I realised that the rate I sold to him (dollar rate blockchain) isn't right as blockchain rate is probably messed up (Sent SS of blockchain current rates, Bitstamp, coinbase etc to him) so he can verify it. To cut the long story short, WILLIAN10 agreed that the blockchain rate we used was wrong (I bought at $1520 on bitstamp but on blockchain, it 'says' $1467). Other wallets rates were just around $1500 or thereabouts at the time of transaction.

My question now is, is Willian meant to pay for the offset difference as at when sent which would be about $50 or it's fine and the deal is done and Willian is right by saying he's not paying for the REAL CURRENT RATE WHEN THE BTC WAS SENT. I've attached the long chats of the discussion but had to delete the bits I think isn't important. I just want the proper decision to be made. Whatever you guys say is final.
