Congratulations are in order for Almajiri Fulani man who has been promoted to the rank of brigadier general in the Nigerian army.. Brigadier General Abubakar Adamu a.k.a Ano, the newly decorated officer celebrated his meritorious promotion with family and friends on his home soil (Gembu) in Taraba state.

The war veteran from Wuro-Ardo Yuguda /Leme Da'u, a Fulani's settlement suburb of Gembu town - is the second figure ever to reach the rank in the Nigerian Army and the first to attend the American War College, Carlisle Pennsylvania in the United State of America (USA) from Sardauna LGA of Taraba state, according to reports.

This is a very misleading news caption. Everything must not be tribalism.

Why add "Fulani herdsman" to the news if not to bring in tribal sentiment and ethnicity?

Anyone who merits promotion should be promoted not minding if he is from Igbo,Hausa,Yoruba or Ibibio.

The Nigeria Army is NOT supposed and is NOT an ethnic or regional Army.

the other time it was 'first female officer to attain the height of general in Nigerian Navy' who is a Northerner now it's this one, i would've said this tenure is favouring one region over another but it's none of my business, i'm still at the fuel queue since 11am. This hatred for one another is just getting out of hand....i've discovered that people spreading hatred like this have it deep within them; they'll also hate someone within same ethnic background so far there is/are reason for that. So it's never because of who is the president or party affiliation.
This is just sad embarassed undecided
