cstr1001:Cowards sugar coat the truth. You must be one. Last I checked, the super power status of the US is now being questioned. China now has economic power. North Korea is now looking America eyeball to eyeball. They are even now trying to pacify the guy. This is your superpower America. Mr Man, a word of advice. Learn to tell the truth, even when it does not favour u |

Idrismusty97:you are funny. They funded terrorrist to oust libyan president. They funded terrorrist to destroy syria. Which hypocrisy? They dont even need to fund IPOB directly. UN is not against self determination so there is nothing like separatist. So if america support IPOB today....you will be surprised!!!. And maybe you dont know....brexit is a continental separatist movement and trump supported them. That biafrans want to go on its own is not a sin....and all those countries you mentioned will rather sit up if they see america support IPOB rather than go against them. Spain will be scared of america supporting catalonia so if America supports IPOB, spain wont want a similar thing so they will be careful messing with them |

Rossikk:The debate as to which own the land will forever b inconclusive.... The land is Israel's ancestral land...but was occupied by the Palestine when they were taken captive during Biblical era. So based on ancestral lineage, it belong to Israel.. But since occupancy shows possession...the land belongs to Palestine... So u see how inconclusive d debate is |

SouthEastFacts:Rubbish commentary. So Ghana with a christian president, also voted out of religious sentiments? 128 countries voted for justice: West Jerusalem for Israel East Jerusalem for Palestine. Are you aware that majority of inhabitants of East Jerusalem, are Palestinians? Being neutral is injustice. What then is the essence of UN? And you think those supporting Israel and USA are not being sentimental. Sentiments can be ascribe to all positions, whether you are for ,against or neutral. But the question is: Which of the sentiments reflect justice most? |

Milonis:And how much of USAID contribution is going back to American's consultants? Tell us the budget for USAID. I challenge you How much of the data we give to them is necessary? Have you considered the espionage angle? We dare America to withdraw aids to all the 128 countries and see how it will be more secure Milonis:It is Israel that is opposed to a 2-state policy Has the Palestinians not recognised Israel? Is Israel not talking about negotiation while grabbing more Palestinian land Of all the countries in the ME only Israel is expanding its territory Milonis:How would they show they are ready for peace? Even Saudi Arabia cooperates with Israel Israel is the one using propaganda to play a victim role Read this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lavon_Affair Judaism, Christianity and Islam all lay claim to Jerusalem; Trump has unilaterally awarded to one of the parties Milonis:This is the reason why every country will like to have nuclear weapons If you want peace, treat the weak of today fairly In the 50s, America invaded North Korea, can they do so now? Milonis:100 years ago which country was the no 1 power, where is it today? |

The OP has made valid points. However, you have relegated Nigeria to a beggarly position in international politics which is hopelessly dependent on the US. That is a misconception. The US benefit from us as much as we benefit from them regardless of our stands on matters. The US do not partner with us because they love us and want to help us, they do because they get ten times what they give to us. It is better we break free from this AMERICA will know mentality and learn to be independent for once. We cannot let one country to dictate for us because they feel superior and we accept we are inferior. |

Mrnairalandd:Typical Nigerians(Africans in general) reasoning with their emotions instead of their heads. Sane country votes based on their interest and not some meaningless ideals. Countries evaluate the risk-benefit analysis of supporting a position before doing so but Nigeria, a country battling Islamic terrorists and many secessionist groups think it wise to vote against the resolution because Palestinians are Muslim as if them being Muslim benefits Nigeria in any way. Being a muslim didn't save Nigerians from being sold as slave in Libya and it didn't stop the gulf countries from treating Nigerian maids as slaves. Tell me one single positivity that will result from this stupid decision? I can tell you many long-term negative consequences. |

Idrismusty97:Are you kidding me? Nigeria always win a proxy war? Which war did nigeria ever embark upon? Biafra war? If you guys are saying , you don't need USA aid, then it will b delusion to need Niger delta oil at this point. Niger delta love america and Israel while northern Nigeria love Arab and Islamic nations. |

afroxyz:Who is questioning the superpower status of the US? Is there any nation in the world that can defeat America in a war? The fact that a country has a couple of Nukes does not make a superpower. The US would obliterate North korea if it gets to that. But, America will never give the first punch. Not with the possiblity of a Nuclear conflict that would inevitably see the end of North korea. America is only waiting for North korea to hit an american assets be it Japan, S.Korea or Guam even with a feather which would be the justification they need, and then hell and fury that the world has never seen will fall on North korea with nobody to help them. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-russia-forum-putin-usa-idUSKCN0Z31G4 https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/jun/18/vladimir-putin-donald-trump-striking-america-superpower This is putin admitting that the US is the world sole superpower. Russia and China know their limits. It is Nigerians that under-estimate the scale and might of the united states of America. Do not test the USA. |

SouthEastFacts:Stop stressing your brain with conspiracy theories. US stopped buying Nigerian crude oil during Jonathan's regime and till date, has refused to sell her arms. Meanwhile, Nigeria is still standing firm because other countries especially China will fill in the gap. Take a look at the infastructural developments going on in Nigeria and Africa, a large percentage have Chinese imprint yet you keep deluding yourself of what USA can do to Nigeria. |

Buhari has the mentality/IQ of the average maiguardi selling toiletries & petty groceries outside the private homes of our urban centers. How can such a person understand basic economic theory or international politics? He views everything via the prism of tribal & religious affliations! |

helpee:Huh and what about Britain who will undoubtedly support us in case of a civil war, will America risk supporting Biafra against the UK interest. And don't forget Russia who is always looking for trouble. Biafra want to go is not a Sin but Palestinians taking their land back is? Look how you comfortably mentioned the UN as if it isn't the same UN resolution that got us arguing now, If Israel and the US can comfortably ignore the UN resolution, rules. What messages are they sending to the rest of the world? And brexit is not a separatist movement they are just pulling out of a union, the European union which is not a nation. Like Nigeria pulling out of Ecowas or Africa Union. Now the separatist movement is Scotland in the UK. |
