The Assumpta road named after a cathedral should have been left as it was. Nothing wrong with naming a road after the president though the timing and location of this particular case is wrong. Rich as should look for another road to name if he so desires. |

What has Buhari done to Imo that will warrant his name name after some monuments in Imo state. It's unacceptable and will not hold. The Assumpta Cathedral Catholic Church, which the road is named after is historic and cannot be wiped out by Okorocha’s administration. Some also accused the government of trying to erase history which the state has been known for and largely used as an address and a form of given direction. YOUR LEADERS IN THE EAST ARE ALL SELLOUT I KEEP SAYING THIS, THIS IS SOMTHING THAT CANNOT AND WILL NEVER HAPPEN IN THE NORTH NAMING AN HISTORIC NAME OF A MOSQUE BEFORE THE NAME OF AN IGBO MAN EVEN IF THAT IGBO MAN IS THE PRESIDENT OF AMERCA THE HAUSAS WILL NEVER DO THAT, THE LEADERSHIP OF THE EAST STILL NEED SERIOUS DELIVERANCE AND ORIENTATIONS. 2 Likes |

.....but why on earth will anyone who seeks peace rename a landmark road named after a monument church after Buhari of all people. If you must rename a road why not pick the one that leads to your village or better still build a brand new world class road, name it after Buhari and even invite him to commission it and not remain the one built by a visionary leader of blessed memory. Allow peace to reign for once this man Okorocha. When people like Okorocha choose to please their demi god's at the hurt of the people they will surely incur the wrath of the gods of the land. This is yet another useless, thoughtless and an uncalled for decision that does no one any good. You cannot and should not try the collective Will of the people and never toy with the people to achieve your inordinate and selfish political ambitions. The day of the people is coming, on that day your soldiers and army won't deter them from matching into your fortress and send you away disgracefully. Okorocha must remember he is not the only governor in the south east why then is he always in the news for the wrong reasons. Many have come and gone surely he too will go but what should bother him is what he will be remembered for. Dee Sam Mbakwe of blessed memory led imo state some four decades ago but people are till date still eulogising him and saying there has been non like him ever since. There are some past governors when you mention their names people will spit out and course the gov and there are some in office today people are praying that they should vanish. Okorocha must do only the wishes of the people not his own will and desires and always carry the people along. That is the reason why you are there in the first place. You didn't vote yourself into office, the people voted for you to lead them don't turn around and make them regret. Imolites don't need a madman as governor whose vision drives him crazy all they need is a loving kind gentleman who has the passion to take imo state to the next level. Right now Buhari must do the needful order his paupet in Imo state to remind that ste immediately and let the status quo be. As if Rochas is seeking their consent... Imo people will allow statues, Ministry of Happiness but reject naming of roads which is quite common place. That's dumb and dumber. Nobody is forcing anybody to pass on any road. |
