There are fields that certification in HSE is critical in. Fields like STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Save up some money and do NEBOSH IGC in any accredited training institutes in Nigeria. It costs 220-300k depending on the institute.

NEBOSH is the most accepted safety certification in Nigeria and abroad. Visit NEBOSH website and check out accredited centres near you.

I hope this helps..

You equip yourself with HSE level 1&2 from Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (Ispon) while you wait for your university certificate, you can get more information on Ispon website.
There is a signed MoU BTW Ispon and Nebosh so the two certificates are now of equal qualification so there will be no need of you spending that amount on nebosh. Ispon is more less fee.

Don't be mislead dear, level 1and2 certification can never be Nebosh no matter what MoU was signed.

Op go to oshatrain.org and start the osha safety professional course. It's free to take it but you need to pay for certificates which you can do at your time. Budget about 120k for for that.
I've been in the HSE system for a while and i can boldly tell you not to waste money on ispon or the other guys (forgot their name).

U can later go ahead and take IOSH or NEBOSH (If you can afford it). Goodluck
