It is obvious that you don't know the meaning of 'veto' neither do you know that even a Presidential veto can be overridden.

It is also a shame that you don't know that veto only come into play after a bill is passed and sent to the President for assent and that the President is empowered to veto the bill if it is his opinion that the bill or a section of it is of no National interest but he is mandated to state the reason for his veto to the National Assembly for legislators to appraise it once again, where they have the option of overriding the presidential veto or modifying grey areas.

Having explained that to you, how does that relate with appropriation of funds for subsidy without recourse to the National Assembly and the Appropriation Act?

I know all what veto is, Mr running up and down,

Veto in the Nigerian context happens to be different as examplified by the last administration, who redirected funds to be diverted to the NSA

Both.

You've been a member of APC, PDP and APDA and now back to PDP. I hope aren't one of those accusing Atiku of political prostitution. grin

Remember my previous advise? As a politician in the making Learn to be discreet in your assertions.

I wish you best of luck in your political career.

Well, I didn't just return to PDP, we were asked to return, and we played role in the National Convention.

In fact, I served as a member of the Convention Committee grin

Ask to return indeed grin

Anyway let's not derail the thread. At least you are learning the political rope and I hope your interests will be for the benefit of the people and not personal hustle for the national cake.

Though i am not a fan of present known contenders for 2019 but I hope your party will present a credible candidate that can send that incompetent herdsman back to Daura.

And he is to do that by fiat? When did the President now have power to appropriate funds? Why didn't he go to the National Assembly and ask for that?

You have no point
In theory there is no subsidy payment. It's just the NNPC running on a loss and there's law against the NNPC running a loss.

I'm not holding brief for Buhari but since NNPC is the one importing the fuel, then who are they paying the money to?

Which NNPC is importing and why go off key? So Who did Baru give money to? My grandfather abi?

Meanwhile, which law permit the President to appropriate funds without recourse to the National Assembly?

Where did you see Baru giving anyone money? All marketers have said they are not importing, only the NNPC is currently importing and that is the cause of the scarcity.

Educate yourself... Being in the opposition is not an excuse for ignorance.
