We told them on this same forum expecting that his antecedents should be enough to dissuade any right thinking person that this nomad was no good to steer the affairs of this nation. Sadly, even educated illiterates got sold this dummy. He failed in '84 when he had totalitarian powers and ya'll felt he'd perform in a democratic dispensation? The joke is on you all.

So, how is Nigeria's failures buhari's fault?

Candidly, I don't regret voting PMB; not because he's performing but because there was no better choice.

My line of thinking is this. It's been what? Half a century of existence and Nigerians can't boast of one decent leader. How is that possible? If we are going to use the rules of probability at least by now it should have happened. Mathmatically, a country which has been in existence for 50 years should have had one good leader. What does this tell us. It tells us that the problem is not Nigeria's leaders but it's citizens. Below is a hypothetical conversation i had with a Nairalander who was blaming his woes on Buhari;

Bollinger:

It was a trap to lure you in. Now i'm going to ask you a series of questions and i'm going to answer them for you.

Me: Why did Nigerians vote for Buhari?

You: Because he promised us many things.

Me: Did you ask him how he was going to do the things he promised?

You: No, but he promised.

Me: Really? Ok. Another question. Why do you all keep voting terrible people to lead you?

You: Silence. . . . . . . . . . .

Guy, the problem is not Buhari. The problem is you. Is Buhari the first Leader in Nigeria? You lot keep supporting corrupt and incompetent individuals to represent you and laughably turn around to complain when they fail you. How ironic is that?

I agree with you .A cursory look at our activities shows that majority of us are greedy and self centered. But the leaders have more blame to share in that they can steer a new course and also live by example with a strengthened law

It's my first post online this new year so let me put aside my grievances for a short while and confess abundant positivity...

Blessings and favours and outstanding results shall 'follow' us this year. Whether Buhari and his government performs well or not, we shall be immune to Nigeria's economic and social vagaries. We shall prosper in spite of the prevailing gloom. We shall stay safe and protected in spite of the widespread insecurity. We shall be hale and healthy and of impeccable health in body, mind and spirit in spite of the general malaise. In the midst of the unending crises and turmoil in Nigeria and the world at large, we shall exist within an oasis of good fortune, peace and happiness. By the Supreme force of the powers governing the heavens, the Earth, and the entire universe, these 2018 outcomes are signed, sealed, and delivered - and shall extend to our nearest and dearest.

AMEN.

Here is the problem. Where do leaders come from? Is it not from the citizenry? The definition of democracy let's us know that. You pick your leaders from the citizens in your country and the citizens are bad, the leaders you appoint from within you will also be bad. It is not a mistake that every single leader Nigeria has had have been piss poor. A 15 year old in Nigeria is already a "sharp" guy. A policeman stands confidently in the middle of traffic collecting bribe and the average Nigerian sees it as normal. My prediction; Even if Buhari is replaced the end result will still be the same. Who is going to replace him and from where? Is it from the same citizenry who believe in "settling"? Is it the same citizenry who think murdering suspects in the streets as the right thing to do? Bros, Nigeria is phucked and the question is, when are they going to realize it?

I was a youth copper at a polling unit in Lagos when I declared him,the winner of my unit I almost cried because I know we are going backward.. And he was too weak to rule... The worse thing that will happen to Nigeria is if he succeed to rig the election this time... This suffer will be season one

Thank God I have never believed in Buhari and will never. His antecedents are there for all to see, just that humans out of bias will only choose what they want to believe. That a man of integrity needed to endure all he endured because of mere certificate (what he could have just asked Cambridge to confirm) for me was and will remain a dent on the so called integrity the man claimed to have. The man not only doesn't have a wasc, he connived with a school somewhere in the north to fabricate a fake statement of result. What a shame! At least his performance so far is enough to show Buhari was not properly schooled.

They are being deceived by ridiculus expections.

They had forgotten that the oil price is just recovering or perhaps they believe it was Buhari that transformed Nigeria into a petrol importing country.

The learned on economic matters are few and we cannot be swept away by the misguided tide of wailers.

The comparison of a 2yr plus APC govt, with a wasteful 16yr PDP govt,is crazy and very stupid!
