Does Rhotacism, the inability to pronounce "R", have a cure?

I have a friend who is having the challenge and wish to have it corrected if possible because it is somehow embarrassing while speaking in the public sometimes.

Does anyone know if there is a way to correct this?

OP just speak the truth for once, you're the one with the problemgrin but I don't think it have a cure.
Just put your mind off it and be bold while pronouncing the words with "r".

Lesson learnt. I don't know that's what the problem is called.

You call it "wice" and you think it's not bad?

There's no problem that doesn't have a solution. All you need when it comes to pronunciations is practice. The root problem here is your mother tongue, and constant practice helps in eliminating it.

Easy way, look up the words you have difficulty in pronouncing on your dictionary, write down the sounds and look up on some words with such sounds. As you study them, you'll know better. What I do at times when I look up words, I play the pronunciation on Google and pronounce along. The latter will help you a lot.

Maybe u can ask your friend to get a dictionary.. and start practising those words daily.. by pronouncing it... or a speech therapist

Or he can develop a thick skin as if it doesn't affect him... I don't even see this as a problem considering the fact that Some state in US got the same "problem " ever heard of Texas Drawl

It has no cure. If you can't roll your tongue you can't pronounce "r".
