His imperial Majesty,Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has got a word for all the Rich and poor , privileged and less privileged,abled and disabled to decease from choosing Materialism over Christ this year as he believes all is Vanity Upon Vanity.
The 51st Ooni of Ife stated that he doesn't see his Riches as something that could win him eternal life in Christ,what's the need of valueing riches when one day you will die and all will be left behind?
He further went on to warn people against choosing Materialism over Christ, Urgine them to turn a new leaf come 2018, help the poor and needy and become selfless for christ ,

The moment you go asleep, you don't remember all what you think you have that pushes you to be so arrogant to God and callous to your fellow human beings until you wake up the next morning. This is exactly what happens when you finally die and God can take your life anytime. Vanity upon vanity!

As we begin this new year I implore all to care for the needy because your wealth means nothing to God if it is not for the benefit of the poor. Always remember you were not born with wealth and you will not leave this world with it.

This Ooni reminds me of Thomas Jefferson.

While Thomas Jefferson was strongly against slavery in his time,and even up to his death.

But In a very strange irony, Thomas Jefferson himself had more than 600 Slaves at his plantation.
