3 Things Social Media Need NOT See From Adesua Etomi,Mrs. Wellington in 2018

Adesua Etomi is the Nigerian female actor that has had the most share of the spotlights in 2017 and the reasons are there for all to see.

Not even in 2016 when she won AMVCA‘s Best Actress did she even have the whole internet’s attention as much as she did this year. Her role in Mo Abudu’s “The Wedding Party” was the springboard of her unprecedented fame, from featuring in blockbusters to Nigeria’s most trending Wedding proposal photo with BankyW then having a high societal wedding in South Africa to cap off a successful year. Undoubtedly, her sensational wedding to BankyW eclipsed that of Stephanie Linus’ bug who got wedded in France.

This piece is not from an authority but just an opinion of one who has seen trends.

NO Baby Bump Photos if Possible: Realistically, it doesn’t seem possible but it’s doable. In as much as her fans love to keep up with her daily life, she needs to understand the thin line for privacy. Babies are beautiful, every marriage wants this but none wishes their miracles cut short before it happens. This is Africa and she should understand Lil Kesh‘s “Fake Love”. She could also learn from her learned colleagues who didn’t have a fair share of showing baby bumps before birth.

Marriage is NOT a Reality TV Show: In as much as she basks in the euphoria and reality of how glamorous her world looks, not all Nigerians are well-meaning. BankyW was known for his works as a Musician and a Record Label owner until he ventured into acting. For this, social media really doesn’t need to know more than they already do about him or the marriage. The goof BankyW made on their honeymoon is pardonable as it can pass for an oversight but such instance are not needed in the future. I’m sure she can see how intolerable Nigerians are just with the case of MTVBase‘ Stephanie Coker.

Internet NEVER forgets: This clause is valid till eternity Adesuwa, pay attention to it. The world only sees what you show them and that’s why you should rather show them more of your works as an artist in 2018. Feed them what you’ll smile at when it makes news on Instablog and not one you’ll have to defend. We don’t need to know anything more about BankyW than we already have, you’ll only give preying eyes on how to snatch him. Taking a cue from Richard Mofe-Damijo will be helpful. After the death of his first wife, MEE, remarried to Jumobi and has been keeping his marriage under the wraps from the media who’d feast on any leak they see.

I heard she and her hubby are working on a reality show called "The Wellingtons". I don't take their marriage serious. I see it more as a social contract or stunt for more popularity. Those who saw the movie "Girls Trip" last year would understand.

Their marriage has been a ball of of publicity stunt ever since it commenced ,sometimes, it gets exhausting. I pray this year they both receive sense and start working more on a lasting union and not an ephemeral spotlight.
Banky should start working on his music career again and Adesua should try and make an impact with her acting career.
