Hello, I recently found out that my Toyota Camry 1999 is over heating, so a friend said it's d fan. he said I will need to add a relay. please how much does a relay cost and what else can cause a car to overheat.

Go to a mechanic and change the top gasket...Top gasket of that Camry is around 2k. make sure its done by a good mechanic. make sure your fan works properly. Was the first car I used back then.

NB. may likely be another issue sha but the major cause of overheating in Camry is when the top gasket burns due to faulty radiator or fan...a good mechanic should do a thorough check for u

You need to give more information about this overheating eg condition it occurs , what have u done so far to resolve it etc .

Does the level of coolant goes down or rather how often do you top up the coolant inside the radiator.

* fans not working properly ( check)
* deity radiator (wash)
* oyinbo that installed the two fans without side relay isn't mad okay


Please and please don't change your top gasket yet.

Take a picture of the Gage when it is over hearing and post it, because most people don't even know the normal running temp of cars.

Since you just discovered, there might be a lot of other things you have not discovered.

As long as you have done nothing about it you are safe.

Just answer these questions.

1. Do you use coolant or water.
2. Do you have coolant leak or do you have to top off your coolant.
3. Does your fan come on when the needle of your temperature gauge reaches middle point.
Is your radiator covered up with mud from the last flood you drive through

Top gasket? Chei, chei. So if I have a stuck closed thermostat I should change the top gasket. If I have a faulty cooling fan I should change the top gasket. If I have a leaky radiator I should change top gasket. Bros na wa for u ooh
