The Nigerian Army, on Tuesday, formally entered into partnership with Nigerian indigenous motor manufacturing company, Innoson Motors Manufacturing Company for modification of some of its equipment, local production of armoured fighting vehicles and other military hardware.

Indigenous Armoured Vehicles To Aid Policing In Nigeria

Security agencies in Nigerian are to receive a boost to their activities with the aid of armoured vehicles manufactured in Ogun State, South-west Nigeria.

The vehicle will assist the agencies in tackling insecurity and terrorism in the northern part of Nigeria and ensure safety of live and property in other areas.

In anticipation of the impact the vehicle will have on policing in Nigeria, the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ikemefuna Okoye, visited the manufacturing company, which is the first indigenous armoured vehicle manufacturer.

The company, Proforce, located at Ode Remo designs and manufactures armoured vehicle suitable for operations for military, police and other law enforcement agents and other passenger vehicles.

It signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) for the production of Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs).

Mr. Okoye expressed optimism that the vehicles would have huge impact on the fight against terrorism and other crimes in Nigeria.

The Managing Director of the company, Mr Ade Ogundeyin, told the Police Commissioner that the plant had built and delivered armoured marine security boats for the Lagos State Government for use by the rejuvenated Lagos Waterways Authority.

Can someone tell if this man innoson have testing groung for all his cars and trucks or is it that he assembled and bring into the market.

Please we need a video of airbag, break, and shocks testing of all his product.
We are proud of him but will need him to operate and produce to conform with world standard.
