i guess Adminisher wants to take out everything including cockroaches and ants at a single go grin grin grin

these systems r actually for massed fire effect where in a single volley u intend to take out the targets especially during beach clearing

yeah they are ideal for beach landings but the threat in the delta are speed boats filled with armed elements, max I will say five boats.

actually i was not advocating them for speed boats , becz of their small displacement (tonnage) the MBRL wont be stable .for large speed boats it might work but first they will have to certified and tested.

also IMO normal mortars wont work for the same reason unless some stabilization system is included to compensate for the rollling and pitching of the boats.

sure I understand you, our Littoral interceptors some which are 40m can accommodate this system. what I meant was the major threat are hostiles using speedboats.

oh sorry

i will then recommend RCWS mounted weapons, best for countering hostiles even under intense fire especially when surprised or inorder to surprise them grin

Image purportedly showing modified AAM (Archer/ R-73E) fired by Yemen's Houthis attacking Saudi Arabian F-15.
The Eagle was hit by shrapnel but made it back to base in southern Saudi Arabia.

P.S.: Though unconfirmed, it seems the missile hit a flare.

The plane was hit but didn't go down. More Saudi incompetence.
According to an Air Force mate:
Lack of maneuvering upon releasing flares. Continue in the same trajectory after flare release and you remain a more juicy target for the missile than the flares.

Flares released too late - missiles still do need some time before they reach the aircraft, so he had plenty of time, in relative terms, to start deploying flares and not just one or two but a heftier amount to create a screen.

Missile seems to have hit the body at the rear (rear wing?) - not parallel to the aircraft, and physical hit, which is sub-optimal.

F-15 still went on in the same direction, so it wasn't shot down. Just damaged, and perhaps not even critically damaged.
Interesting too that the Houthis used a US FLIR product to track the F-15 and then used a Russian IR-guided AAM from the ground.
Would the Saudis be flying at all if these guys had radar?

A weapon is only as good as the user. The Saudi's should stop buy equipment and start training their soldiers very well.
