I didn't see the match so I can't actually judge the team however if they played as badly as people claim....I am thinking conte must have used the 352 formation again. If so....then Contes insistence on playing 352 against an arsenal side that he will eventually fail to win the midfield battle against is one of the major problems.

We should stop analysing football on the surface. If conte leaves and the in-coming coach succeeds in getting the players conte wanted to buy and starts getting results, will it be sensible to start blaming conte for not performing?

We are definitely missing the presence of players who will guarantee us 20plus goals in a season.

When drogba was here,we had lampard,anelka and fvcking kalou sharing the burden of scoring goals.

Even with fernadud here, we had drogba, kalou ,Sturridge,lampard and Terry contributing goals.

This particular team lacks goal scoring threats....hazard,morata,pedro and willian will need to do better....or we may have to start looking for players who can contribute goals from their positions. We are definitely missing a midfielder who can score goals....

You keep harping on about 3 at back. I am not sure what you mean. Conte arrived at Chelsea trialling 4-2-4 and then 4-4-2. It was quickly changed to 3 at the back when nothing was working.

3 at the back is not shipping goals. So I don't know why you have a problem with 3 at the back. You are just looking for change where there shouldn't be one. What tactical advantage in terms of forward play, does 4 at the back have over 3 at the back? I am not sure you can come up with any.


I don't care what Juve fans think on their forum. All I know is Conte won the PL. End of!

What you need to be worry about is what Conte does not have. What Conte does not have is players who are not Willian, Pedro, Moses, Alonso, Bakayoko, Drinkwater. These players are okay but no one of them is guaranteed to give you more than 12 goals and/or 12 asists a season when Hazard, Morata and Fabregas are not scoring. And these playrs are 80% to 90% likely feature in every single game. So I am not sure what playing 4 at the back will do about that.

I am not against Conte playing 352 or his methods entirely. And I do agree that he is making the best out of a bad situation especially when we go against the big boys. I completely do not mind us playing deep and hoping we get a goal or two through counters.However, my issue is with us bunkering against smaller teams sometimes as in the case of swansea(at home) and against a team like arsenal parading players like holding,mustafi and chambers in their defence. I am of the opinion that 343 is a better formation to play against some of these teams bcuz it provides us with the extra man in attack.

truth. But, for the case of arsenal, i think wenger wants to change his record against Chelsea. This can be seen from the way he now sets up his teams to play against us. He now feels comfortable to concede possession. They also play with a higher determination.
