A taxi driver accused a 16-year-old boy of stealing N100 in the early hours of Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Area 3 Junction Abuja. The taxi driver claimed to have had lots of !0 and N20 notes so he decided to help the boy who sells pure water with change. Things took a fresh turn when the boy claimed that the taxi driver gave him only N60. An eye witness in the taxi agreed with the driver that he gave him hundred Naira. 'He gave me only sixty naira' said the boy of Hausa descent who could barely express himself in English. An argument ensued which would have degenerated into lynching of the young boy. According to a Daily Naija ireporter, the argument grew tense and the taxi driver raised his voice calling him a thief. A crowd of onlookers soon arrived the scene and luckily for the boy, some onlookers suggested that the case be taken to the nearest police station.
