As a Nigerian who was born and brought up in Nigeria and currently living in the United States of America
I must say that President Donald Trump is wrong to call us a "shit-hole" country... NIGERIA IS WORSE THAN A SHIT-HOLE.

Where do I even start from? Is it Electricity? Roads? Education? Security? Health care? Employment Opportunities?
We claim to be Independent yet we import everything we use, including petroleum products even
though we're a producer of crude oil.

White men built four refineries for us but we can't maintain even one. Our minimum wage is #18000 which is
roughly $60, that's what most low-level workers here in America earn in 6 hours but our "excellencies" earn
more than leaders of most developed countries.

Shame on all leaders of Nigeria, both present and past.

We did not need Trump to tell us, he said what we knew in our hearts but we were hoping nobody else noticed.
You should have seen me argue this on fb anyway blessed is he who gives than he who recieves I think our major problem is the aid we keep eating from the "developed" countries it is why there are getting blessed and we are eating curse in 1960 they were 30 times richer than us today they are 86times richer than us that tells me alot.
Estonia with less than 1.5m people and they reciwved true independence in the 1990's with no natural resource gives aid south korea that got independence the same period as 9ja gives aid meanwhile south africa is one of the countries the U.S gives most aid to bill gate paid nigeria $76m debt to Japan so they can insult us.
It doesn't bother me when blacks are called monkeys or s^$&#ole nation it motivates me to want to be better much better.
If we are successful tommorrow the world will have no option but to respect us.
The solution to Africa's problem is in Africa we have everything we need, Africa reduce your needless border and business restrictions to your fellow African countries why should EU have free movement of humans goods etc we are still guarding tightly colonial borders white man gave us
US canada free movement but we have to pay visa and heavy tax to trade with one another.

i don't react when white insult or said bad things about Nigeria. David Cameron said it that Nigeria is fantastically corrupt.

Firstly Trump didn't mention Nigeria specifically in his silly outbursts, he was referring to some African countries even though we know he was talking to Africa as a whole.
Secondly Trump did not call Africa a shithole cos of the reasons you stated there but because of your skin color, so get that deep down the noodles packed in your skull.

The interesting thing is the clowns that call Africa a shithole and one of the Major reasons Africa will never develop, its a case of doing you and insulting you on top of it. lol

This post doesn't warrant insults Sir, FYI Trump referred to the whole of Africa and I chose to write about Nigeria because it's where I know.

Secondly, the noodles packed in my skull made a CGPA of 4.1 which is why I'm in the United States.

Finally I think you're a little man by trying to bring ethnicity to this post, I'm proudly an Igbo man and I wont stoop to your level by insulting other great Nigerian tribes.

Op is the few smart ones that likes the truth . You can't solve your problem if you don't know you have one in the first place. Shithole is even understatement.

The first step to redemption is to admit that something is wrong. We can't repair Nigeria if we don't even believe it's broken. In my next post I'll list some steps which I believe will help us tackle most of our problems.

Coming from part of the people that have made Nigeria a shithole , you are one of the people who have chosen tribalism, nepotism and materialism over common sense and merit needed to make any nation great,even though Buhari has put up a really bad performance you continue support him either because of Nepotism or maybe being paid to do so which are all characteristics of shit standards that define a shithole
