Relax payments will soon arrive. I also have a friend with a 14days deadline for fees that have been owed for over a year who is yet to receive payment. My other friend in the same condition has received his.

Let’s wait until next week before jumping to conclusions.

If I were a 2017/2018 prospective scholar, I will start pushing for release of the list. You guys probably got recommendations from senators, House of Representatives members, some sef brought governors recommendation letters. Hmmmm. It’s time to use your connections if they are refusing to listen.

Do you mean you applied in 2014 but it was issued to you in 2015?

Your answer is very important as we can use it to anticipate what the NDDC is having up its sleeves in terms of the 2017 batch. We could see a situation where ;

(1) They might skip that of 2018 and do 2017.

(2) They could do away with 2017 and go on to organise fresh one for 2018.

(3) They could do a carry over of 2017, organise 2018 and then issue award letters to both as 2018.

(4) Thrash the 2017 list, domesticate the program for subsequent scholarships. No more foreign but local scholarship program.

(5). There is the likelyhood of issuing 2017 in 2018, tag it as 2017 and then proceed to organise 2018 later in the year.

(6). Issue 2017 award letter now and then domesticate subsequent programs.

(7) They could fix the bug now, and continue with the program smoothly. This is one of the most unlikely, as historically, they have had road bumps of delays and disappointments.

As time is gradually ticking away for the 2017 batch, and by permutation, any of the above is a possibility.

Hello everyone, and congratulations to those scholars whose accounts have been credited. I pray all scholars get paid soonest. Pls at this point we need information from everyone so that it won't be possible for NDDC to play any pranks as they do most times. Kudos to those scholars who notified us of their payments. It is my prayer that we continue to work as a team, and that scholars will continue to lend their voices and effort to the struggle for the release of the 2017 list. I wish us all the best.

What he/she meant by 2014 that deferred to 2015 is that, he could not resume in 2014, most likely because NDDC released the scholarship list late, it’s also possible that his school don’t have a January resumption for the course he wants to study. Either way, when you differ your admission, you take your scholarship letter back to NDDC and they issue you another one “if your institution changes” and another single page document “if your course changes”
In my case, to make January resumption I had to change both course (to a similar course with slightly different title) and institution, so I had a new scholarship letter “with the new institution name, new course and new resumption date” and another letter titled “approval for change of institution and course of study”.
The deferral of your resumption, change of course or institution is a formal process that requires approval. If you do this without NDDC’s approval, they might refuse to pay your fees until you comeback and formalise the change.

Thank you 2017 scholars for waiting patiently, until we got paid. In the same vein, I am appealing we the paid scholars should reciprocate there effort by SHOUTING OUT LOUD, until the list is out.

2017 prospective scholars; we will continue to mount pressure on them to release the list or atleast be transparent with us. Thanks for your joint efforts in ensuring current scholars are paid their dues.

I am glad they are still on payment. The coordinator must really like you to answer your inquiries every time unlike with many of us. I really want you to.have your payment sorted out. You have really fought here. Did she discuss both session payment with you?

No she skirted that question and did not say anything about both sessions. I will follow up with her on that cos I attached both invoices for her to know they are all now overdue. Thank you

Heard from a secondary source that NDDC is under presidential directive to clear every “outstanding debt” with regards to their overseas scholarship before doing any other thing (new contracts, New list, etc; I hope they add payment of monthly salaries and allowances).
I tried to inquire If the term “outstanding debt” implies outstanding two years tuition fees of some scholars in this unfortunate situation, but got no tangible answer.

Unfortunately I do not. They selectively answer the questions I ask them and have not directly responded to this specific enquiry.

They better not otherwise my school will withhold my certificate and not let me graduate. It is clear this means we do not have to relax, hence I will continue to chase this up with her and sound the alarm so they know they must complete their financial obligation to us. Of course they know it is not just for our personal use, my invoices attest to that. I wonder what this means though for 2017 list / scholars. This is sooo exhausting.

I got my payment today. For UK students, the commission short-changed us (paid us with the old rate!). That being said one less thing to worry about. Now we agitate for 2017 list. I will pass on any info I have. Thank you, 2017 prospective scholars, for bearing with us.

No, they only paid one year. I have emailed the coordinator to remind and ensure they know they still owe us for another session/year and it is now overdue for most of us. So before NDDC decides to take us for another ride, rest assured we will not relent until they settle us once and for all.
