Stray bullet allegedly fired by soldiers penetrates through roof of a house in Maiduguri and hits a sleeping child

A little boy was injured after being struck by a stray bullet in Maiduguri, Borno State.

According to the child's father, Alhaji Mustapha Musty, the bullet was allegedly fired by some soldiers to celebrate the New Year.

Mustapha said the stray bullet penetrated through the roof of his house and hit his son on the foot.

The little boy has been discharged from the hospital and is currently recuperating at home.
