Much as the exploits of this great doctor should be commended,the facts should also be made known as to the particular surgical feat in question.
Dr Olutoye assisted the main doctor that carried out the procedure.
As the assisting surgeon in the particular surgery,it means he would acquire the necessary skills and go on to carry many of such procedures as the chief surgeon in future,but for that widely celebrated surgical feat,he wasn't the chief surgeon.
The chief surgeon should be more celebrated,at least for now.
P.S.my error,I thought it was still the report of the first performed by a Dr Cass,in which Olutoye was assistant.
