Please i need sincere opinion from vlogers.

Recently after vlogging became very popular in nigeria, most nigerians have dived into it with many niches ranging fron comedy to entertainment and news.

I plan on starting a comedy channel, i have nicely written scripts and a means to a digital camera.

But my question is, can vlogging make one rich?
Like averagely rich?

Nigeria has more comedians than the people willing to laugh especially in this regime. @ second bolded, No because you will waste your time and effort. This same resource would have been used in doing something more productive.

he is not lying, a lot of vloggers make more than 10milion dolars per year. Mainly americans tho because there are a huge data base of advertisers there. Vlogging is very profiting if done wel. Do u knw youtube has made mark angel a millionaire? It was nt ova night, it was years of consistency and hardwork.

Figures man, figures. Nobody makes up to $1Om a year from vlogging, not even $5m. I own 2 YouTube channels with over 200k subs and I can tell you those figures are so wrong. About mark angel, i know. If you make $300/day on YouTube, you'll be smiling home with nothing less than 2.5m naira every month.

You might end up with a copyright strike or content ID claim. Some channels partner with networks, so if you reupload or use more than 5 seconds of their clips or content, you might get a content ID claim and if possible, a copyright strike. Three copyright strikes and your channel is gone!
There are exceptions, eg if you remixed or parodied a song by another musician, your video can get claimed but you have option to apply for fair use, that way, all ad earnings are shared 50/50 between you and the original owner of the song

Money from advert on your video is the least money you make on a video on YouTube.

If you have 200k subs you should look for better ways of making real money outside YouTube advert.

YouTube makes you a brand and you look for ways to monetize your brand.

Top youtuber makes more than those figure but not from YouTube adverts.

Of course we make money from sponsored videos but speaking of AdSense alone, it doesn't add up to that. Besides how many times do you get sponsored videos

I have a question to ask.

How can one target only a western audience?

I think most videos made from Africa do not get exposed to the Western countries like USA and the rest of them.
There's no way (difficult} one is going to get many millions of Subs with just an African audience
