A rice merchant might be able to help you if he can hook you up with a very good farmer; else, he cannot be of any help to you. Firstly, guard your capital well so you do not lose it to consultants and thieves. Secondly, learn the challenges in rice farming. That farmer you want to consult might not even be able to assist you well because he may not have solution to the challenges, but he needs your cash to help himself. Therefore, he will tell you to go ahead. Thirdly, be sincere with yourself. You may need to go on pilot at this time. Do not waste your cash if you are not sure of doing it well.
