Please car Gurus in the house,am still loyal.I bought a tokunbo engine 1.8 liter for my Peugeot 806 around October last year. Since then i have been using it without any problem. But of recent i noticed that if i stay in holdup like 40 min and if the temperature Gage is approaching 70 degrees, the engine will off/ stall. At times it will start immediately, most cases it will not, have to wait till like 5 minutes before it will start.
In the morning if i want to check water in the radiator, the return pipe will start pumping water.A friend saw it and said is not supposed to do like that, once you open your radiator cap the water supposed to have settled down, this one coming from return pipe means something else, that my mechanic can explain better.
This morning i mentioned it to my mechanic, he said my gasket is bad need to be changed. For now that i should not be covering my radiator cap if the water is not burbling. Please people with similar experience, i need advice,i dont want to make mistakes please.

Trust me it will be easier to contact ikenna first, pay what he asks for and follow his instruction, your problem looks like it is easy to fix now.

What I don't understand is how you can drive your car at 70 degree Celsius, normal temp is around 90-95 which means your car is not even getting to the required temperature. There is something wrong with your Colling system might not be a gasket but check your oil dipstick if it has foam or water and if your coolant has oil in it
