RIP to my friend and learned colleague. He was an active member of full gospel business men's fellowship. We have lost more than 3 prominent lawyers in the past few months in the onitsha bar.I wonder what is wrong

I don't agree with you. The OP said he fell sick shortly before he was to appear in court for the case in question.
I see the sickness as a warning not to appear in court . However, ignoring that warning led to paying the ultimate price. The story is well balanced to my thinking.
