Sounds very sweet. So this APC folks know exactly what Nigerian needs. But unfortunately, this is all geared toward their bid for 2019. We can not be deceived. So you guys know all this and you where running the country like a one-man shop. All these sweet ideas is just so that Nigerians will say APC is the party, let's vote them again. But sorry, we refused to be fooled twice.

1. Resource control be approved for Onshore oil, gas and all other mineral resources be controlled by states.

2. Offshore oil, gas and all other minerals resources to be controlled by federal govt.

3. Local govt should be scrapped and be removed from Nigeria constitution. Let every states decide how to manage it's communities.

4. State police should be created.

5. Independent candidates be approved for election if they meets INEC conditions.

6. States share of revenue allocation should increase while that of federal govt should reduce.

7. Some states should be allow to merge. No additional states should be created.

8.State of origin and local govt of origin be abolished and to be replace with place of residence.

The best thing that will happen to a country like nigeria is regionalism. The devolution of local government will herbour recolonialism to the weaker states especially in the middle belt n northern minorities.

There is no country in the world where offshore resources are controlled by states.

As long as the money made from those offshore resources are NOT allocated to any states and used solely for the duties of the federal government, it's fine.

The same APC government spoke about restructuring the nation prior to the 2015 election and went quiet on the subject the moment they won. So there is absolutely no reason to believe anything they say. They'll need to pass it into law before the election, that way they'll be able to use it as an achievement in their next election campaign.

Even in the united state, the best known federal system in the world, US federal govt control offshore oil resources. International law does not recognise states when it comes to the sea. This issue has already be mostly resolved by Obansanjo under the Offshore/Onshore dichotomy on the 13% derivatives.

Some people like you lack wisdom. in the current system you don't have or control anything. There is a proposal to give u some control, wisdom should have made you calm down and grab it first before pushing for more. If u push for more now, you will get nothing but status quo

I didn't bother to even finish reading the post because as a Niger Delta son, the number one and two just got me angry.

In a simple term, what one and two means is that all minerals resources under the category of mining should be under the control of States which is onshore while almost 85% of oil which is mostly in offshore when you come to Niger Delta will now be controlled by the FG. This document is dead on arrival from the perspective of the Niger Delta man.

In which state would we say the offshore is located? Remember offshore is deep in the sea and no state has a map extending to the middle of the sea. Let's be realistic
