its a psychological blow.

it shows that even in a supposedly safe 'environment', the people are not safe. this makes the government look incompetent & unable to protect its citizens.

it also leads to distrust amongst the people in the IDPs & can cause breakdown of law & order.

furthermore, it makes the people develop more anger towards government & its security agencies as they are seen as not doing enough. in extreme cases, some if the IDPs may get frustrated & just join BH as they seem to have more potency than the government security forces...
