To end this goalkeeper brouha-ha; I want you all to note one thing: We took 3 capable and trust-worthy goaltenders to the tournament in question and each of these men[Ezenwa,Ajiboye and Afelokhai] is capable of staking a claim to that no. 1 jersey. Ezenwa is tested and trusted and we already know what he can do. On the other hand,having watched both Ajiboye[at the 2005 U-17] and Afelokhai[mostly whilst he was at Pillars] at different times,I want to say that both guys have been grossly under-rated and under-estimated by the national team handlers. In fact,I believe the solution to the goalkeeping crisis rocking the Super Eagles ahead of the mundial lies in one of these three men. Ezenwa has strut his stuff. CSTR2:Ajiboye has proved to be a solid goal keeper back from 2007 (Nigeria v Spain). Just curious why Nigerian are still below standard. Just look at De gea who couldn't save a single penalty then. 8 Likes |

Ezenmwa have done it for longer throughout the tournament especially against angola and qualified you for the world cup against much stiffer oppositions. , Surely,you can see why i am not hasty to crown Ajiboye as the new De gea based on a second half game. |
