Well it all depends bro. For instance, say Barcelona wins the UCL and Germany wins the World cup...i don't think Any German player will be voted winner over Messi, Or City wins Ucl and Neymar Wins the World cup...then here the World cup should come into play. It all depends

except Germany don't have a stand out performer and win it as a group, if not if a player constantly steps up like ballack and takes them far then that player deserves it (like it was clear about James Rodriguez with Columbia).

it's becoming an insult to the world cup when it's star performers are neglected in such awards. it makes it seem uefa is bigger than FIFA.

even if Barca wins UCL and messi scores a 100 goals but Mexico win the world cup. let messi be second and a Mexican player be first. the competition needs to be respected. if one is not the best player in the biggest football tournament in the world then such one doesn't deserve to be the best in the world.

Pique finished the game with some discomfort in his knee..His recovery would be monitored and he is a doubt for the Chelsea game.

Umtiti is suspended for the game against Getafe also.

Leaving Terry Minna as our Fit Center Back..These Espanyol Cuuunts FFS! just dey batter our players left right and center.

Thats how it used to be in the old days. I figured that they will deem it quite unfair that a player who had a great "long" and "consistent" season after over 50 matches in Europe should be overlooked just because one had a great 7 matches in the World cup, so they decide to take the whole season into account.

What if (and that is just an IF and ends at that) For instance Mohammed Salah continues his form and ends the season with the premier league and Champions League, then takes Egypt to the Semi finals of the world cup but Javier Hernandez then wins the World cup with Mexico after being their star man, should Salah be ignored?

The world cup is the biggest trophy in world football but lets not forget that it's just one leg and an upset is easy. It's also 7 matches to win (yes i know,if it is just 7 matches, then why has Messi or Ronaldo failed to win it??)....The world cup alone should not be used as a measurement as to who is the best in the year.

for me o, Javier should be first Salah second.

except if Javier didn't play better than Salah in that world cup.

anyway I get what your saying, so far this season the top 3 contenders due to club performance is neymar, messi and kdb then maybe salah, harry Kane.

but let's remember canavaro, Zidane players who were the best at the world cup, if they want to make the awards interesting a new winner is needed. in fact a new top 3 is needed
