If I read Army statement correctly and interpreting same, then army apparently have overrun the last of Bokoharam strongholds, sending remnants scattering, no place to head save appointment with death. This did not mean Bokoharam would no longer carry out terrorists atrocities; they would, in possibly ever increasing ferocity inversely proportional to decreasing numbers as they are pursued and whittled down further. Their safe-heavens gone, capacity to plan and mount significant attacks diminished, Bokoharam would strike out wildly in their dying throes or like cornered animals.

At least, my take on what the militery meant...
