It's convenient for them to use other tribes name to carry out their crimes. If Nigeria breaks, these people will be banned from entering so many countries because of their criminal nature, and they won't have other's name to hide under because you can't say you are Biola or Titi while holding Biafran passport, Nigeria is really saving their ass.

Supply is fed by demand... Those buying are not ghost! and the funny thing is as sellers have been known to majorly come from a particular tribe, the buyers cut across the whole nation.

I know at least two people who have bought babies. Unfortunately, I'm not in a position to report them.

One, a single retired school teacher and former neighbour, bought a baby girl and kept her in her village till the child turned a year old. I found out from her brother who was then living with her. She later relocated, without informing the brother, to another part of the city. The brother came back from work one day to meet an empty house, only his few belongings were left. He told me this after I asked him why his half-sister would do that to him.

The second is a distant uncle who has been child-less after over 20 years of marriage. They relocated to another city, presumably, after they had purchased the baby (I don't know the gender). Funny, I have not seen his wife since I heard of this. They probably think it's a closely guarded secret.
