Human nature is always the same. Civilization doesn't change that. With all the laws protection African Americans, discrimination and killings still reiconfle. All the calls for unity, intertribal marriages and so on, haven't stopped ethnic clashes and tribalism in Nigeria or anywhere else.

It has nothing to do with a single person causing a world war.

Nevertheless, world war can still occur under the same circumstances.
