True. Nemesis4u what do you have to say about that? There are several videos of direct hit on moving targets so why is this so?

NAF has a direct hit on BHT vehicle which seems to be moving faster than this with the CH3.
Warthog is a fast moving aircraft with a high velocity Gatling gun , window of kill is very less and therefor the video gives a wrong impression And as far as I could see the target was hit in the first run itself 4 rounds hit the fast moving car , 2 rounds on the roof and 2 rounds on the bonnet. A mouse in there will be dead.
The 2nd run was unnecessary, guess the pilot just wanted practice or just wanted to make sure.

The Gatling gun is fired for very small duration 1-3 sec , the grouping was good , except the cloud of dust obscurated the view.

UAVs r slow moving and they use PGMs therefor their videos make things look easy.

Just observed the A-10 used its gattling gun. That summarize it all. Thanks.

Even after the vehicle halted, the second strike was still few metres shy of the target.
Ru sure ?

1st run 4 rounds hit the moving car.

The car was on fire before the 2nd run began.

Gatling guns fire a burst inorder to get a tight grouping , if say 10 rounds r fired in a burst, some rounds will land close but not hit the target, while the rest will hit the target. Incase of a single target it might seem waste of ammo , but consider if multiple targets r bunched together , it will save ammo and still have high probability of hit against all the targets close together

U should see videos of turret mounted guns of helicopters inorder to understand the hit pattern.

There r mathemical models used to predict the accuracy and dispersion pattern etc.

Even rockets releasing sub munitions r validated theoretically via this models and then tallied against real life testfire.

Just for a few hundred dollars of rounds u saved hundred thousand dollars worth of PGM.

I don't really know much about the A10 so I thought it was a guided missile, had no clue it was a Gatling gun. Well, it's now obvious the plane hit the target in the first hit.
Learning everyday. grin

It's not possible for me to factorize everything here.
Generally speaking it is inevitable

War is not necessarily the clash of armies

It's complicated to explain.

It is inevitable becz one cannot have a noose around the neck for all eternity.

This should be viewed from a broader perspective , war is not good but they r necessary to remove stagnation of humans .

Lord Shiva (he is a teacher for me rather than god) in western view is portrayed as the God of destruction due to their inability or unwillingness to see through the cloak of allegories but for us he is the God of recreation not destruction. If u don't destroy a system in chaos and in its death throbes u cannot clear the path for the next phase of creation. Call it nature's way of rebooting the system.

In that sense wars r inevitable they destroy the system so that a stronger better ones come in place , however the change maybe be good for some and bad for others. Winners r generally rewarded aren't they?

Whatever happens will have to accept willingly or unwillingly.

Wow! .338 mag GPMG.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNB7khjOSXc

Some might call this overkill reaching out to almost 2k but critically I agree with this:
This gun makes a lot of sense to me. The ballistics of the .338 NM are far superior to the 7.62mm. At longer ranges it has ballistics similar to the .50 BMG without the need to carry around a M2 + bipod.
http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2012/05/16/338-nm-lightweight-medium-machine-gun-lwmmg/

Look at the difference between 2 rounds. Imo,outranging everybody elses 7.62 GPMG makes this a plus though the rounds are expensive and you'd need a whole new logistical tail. And price-one .338 is triple the cost of a 7.62-OUCHHH!? Nemesis4u,patches869,frumentius and mikecza what say you?

Am kind of ignorant on small arms , but I like it , will be good for the situation here, here the machine gunners r trained for secondary role of snipers , so with a good optics and the powerful round he can stop hell .

Maintaining supply lines is a headache here , so for conventional war , one is expected to go for single mode inorder to conserve ammo. This varies depending on situation but nevertheless expanding the machine gunner into the role of a sniper with corresponding powerful weapons is worth the money.

The pic contains the English translation of a tale in ancient times, they were used as allegories albeit via religious colouring for propagation among the masses.

I want u to read it and figure out what scientific phenomenon is the allegory pointing to. Can u figure it out ? grin

Anyways note the large figure 116,640,000 mentioned in the sanskrit sloka, those days rest of the world could only till 10 , while the guys were counting up to trillions, infact they were using the concept of numerical infinity.

Biggest number they came up with is "paro"=
10^400000000000000000 infinities

One who can command maths will command god wink

(Actually god don't exist , god means the system in which we r in and it influences us and inturn gets influenced , the system is limited by what our senses can perceive , and what we perceive is limited by our understanding and believes which unfortunately is near to zero . Think like this if tomorrow all humans were to die, then what will be the value of god , the concept of God exists becz we exist , it is a sensory perception nothing more , rational minds will see god as a physical manifestation of definable pattern of order even in chaos looping in a never ending cycle)

Even seemingly random chaos has a pattern and can be captured in mathematical models provided one has the brains to do so.

Anyways vernurability is a existential threat , nothing is foolproof, breach will happen, the point is the ability to take damage and bounce back - this is what makes all the difference.
