Now, we know that Maigari is definitely a Hausa name, but what about the surname Maiga which is often attributed to Songhai/Zarma. Did the name Maiga come from Maigari? Thanks! |

Fulaman198:Maiga is zabarmawa name as you suggested. It means Dan zaki and every different from hausa Mai gari (Village master) it's a royal titled. |
