CastedDude:
A strong critic of Cross River government, Ifere Paul, has berated governor Ben Ayade over his home grown feeding program in the state. The language translator at Aso Villa in Abuja, shared a picture of the supposed chicken which are being fed to primary school pupils as he lamented that the chicken parts which are being bought from Uyo, the state capital - get rotten and spoilt before reaching some of their final destinations.

Below is what he shared on Facebook;

This is the chicken which Cross River State government is feeding primary school pupils in Cross River State.

The SSA on Home Grown Feeding Program to the Governor of Ben Ayade of Cross River State is buying this chicken from Uyo.

By the time they fried the chicken and bring to Calabar, some are already rotten and smelling before they reach places like Odukpani, Akampkpa, Biase, Yakurr, Obubra, etc.

It is very bad that government can be this mean. It is so sad that people appointed to serve are the same people fowling the efforts of the federal government in Cross River State.

The President must hear this.

OP Uyo is not the capital of Cross River State. Why are you stupid, didn't you go to school?

Why fry the chicken in another state before transporting it to where it is to be consumed? Ordinary to fry chicken again?

Why are most Nigerians so wicked? Personally, I will never allow my children to partake in the so called one-meal per day for school children. I will always cook my children food and pack it in their lunch box before they go to school everyday. A must for me daily! I wouldn't want them to be contaminated with such wicked food being served in school embarassed

It could have stayed more than 24 hours. Have you ever experienced the laziness of civil servants. Their rottenness is beyond a reasonable imagination. Improper storage could make it worst.

Even when the govt means well, the corruption evil sown so deep in our dna so bad that even the heavens wonder how Nigerians are made shiver at our insincerity of purpose.
Hell is not enough for an average Nigerian politician.
Did you just say that government meant well by feeding primary school pupils?
Do you know that the amount of money the government is wasting on feeding children in schools is big enough for them to raise the standard of education in this country to a certain extent?
Is hunger the main problem of our children or access to quality education? Even if hunger is a problem, are they feeding this children with the right quality and quantity of food or are they just enriching a few individuals that controls this feeding program?
My state for example, runs a free education programme for primary and secondary schools. Now primary schools in my area are driving the pupils home to go and bring school fees after feeding them. So pupils now go to school just to eat food and come back home to play. And the government don't check what happens in these schools. Why can't they stop feeding these children and use that feeding money to pay their school fees and raise the academic standards for our children to stay in school and learn?
Why should we be deceived by their insane and failed projects that only put money in the pocket of the cabals?
When shall we stop celebrating the misplaced priorities of our mediocre leaders in this country?
