The truth is that they can't compete yet in Europe. They have a lot of deficiencies in their midfield and defence. The best in their midfield (Verrati) can't even make Madrid's starting XI. And Cavani in attack is a big minus. I think one can conclude that they are out already. They should bolster their midfield and defence, and also get a better Tactician. Just like Zinedine Zidane and other acclaimed top coaches, Unai Emery leveraged on the years of european competitions experience, garnered by the squad he worked with at Sevilla. He was never an upgrade of Blanc.

Yes I agree, but before and after PSG scored, Madrid's midfield was in control. Do you know the beauty of this present Madrid squad, they just know too well how to play Champion's league. They know when to hit their opponents, especially in the knockout rounds. It's never a thing of mere luck to have played in seven consecutive UCL semifinals. I won't be surprised to see them win it again this season.
