12submarine:Most of those cases are wishful thinking. Nigeria does not have the political clout to go after the major IOCs that stole $12b+ worth of oil, which Diezani uncovered. In fact, as I speak to you, they're still stealing oil. It is only in Nigeria, oil companies take oil, then tell the FG government what they took without 3rd party verification. It's like you have a mini-van and you have a revenue share deal with a friend to use it for transporting goods. The deal is to share revenue based on the value of goods transported. He may tell you he transported #50k worth of goods, when he actually transported #75k worth of goods, and you wouldn't have a clue. The IOCs have been doing that since 1956. The diverted NNPC money has been trashed out severally. The illegal MTN funds, I don't know what Falana is about. The Fuel Subsidy scam investigation is ongoing. The Swiss and US conditions are reasonable, in light of the fact that they've repatriated $4b out of $5b and it wasn't judiciously used. Sure, they should go after lost cash. But for the life of me, what's more important is stopping the current looting that'd continue. Several of the conditions that caused these cases of corruption are still in existence. All I keep hearing is how to get back loots, and nothing on how to prevent loots, or ensure that our commonwealth is judiciously spent. You get back loots, they're relooted, then you go get them back again, then they're relooted. Who swear for black man. -Lord |

Did these your people vote your tin god in 2015? Are these states no longer the usual "cursed north? Find out from Namadi Sambo how he fared when he tried the religious approach. Since pigs have eaten up the carcass of kanu, you better go in search of another criminal to lead another agitation after 2019. What happened to the no lefelendum no erection agreement? Silvano34:slave mentality. So you think the west that connived with Abacha to ship our money offshore should now be the one to monitor how we spend our recovered money abi? She US that built gas/petrol station for $1 billion in Afghanistan have moral authority to teach us how to spend loot they made possible. Since world bank and USAID have been doing project in naija, what are the impacts of those projects. Not in anyway justifying or supporting insane manner our leaders are spending bith returned loots and other proceeds but those countries that see us as shitholes and never do well should at least spare us our dignity and autonomy. If as an individual instead of encouraging yourself and people around you to force our leaders to be accountable and responsible, and you are beholden on some selfish messiah to come and help us, tjen I want to submit that you are one of our problems |

transformed:Honestly, your points are brilliant, how do we expect to think in this situation, particularly for those of us who are not new to the corrupt political system in Nigeria. I insist that no amount of words anyone can propose that will justify the fact that the westerns handling those stolen funds will be the best option. Our leaders have shown in so many ways they care not for the masses. I can make bold to say that if those stolen funds get released to our gullible leaders, the funds will be re-stolen once again. But if the US and Switzerland are in charge of these funds, our leaders are going to put these guys on their toes, a role which I believe our leaders are better in taking in this kind of circumstance. I cannot make myself believe the fact that we can still have loyalists of our leaders. These guys are killing us. Much talks have been said about their greediness and insatiable love for corrupt practices, but these heartless leaders won't change. The amount of funds being revealed and talked about today, I'm sure they will be a fragment compared to what the recent government leaders are stealing on the daily basis. We should stop making things feel they are better whereas they are not. No honor in concealing the real fact. The only solution is to invite third party into our situation I'm Nigeria. We can't by ourselves conquer our greatest problem. The height of corruption in this part of the world is quite insurmountable. |

Moorish:My brother I will choose "yes" to your question over and over. Our leaders are worst. Don't tell me you're not aware of the fact that our leaders are extremely unconcerned about the masses? If our leaders have the love of the masses at heart would we be having issues of stolen fund as much as incredible as the extant cases? Stealing is inevitable in any government across the world. But our own case is just too much. These much stolen funds are at the detriment of the education of our youths; it interferes with amongst other things, economic, political and social growth of our nation. They are putting innocent citizens under undeserved hardship. If only you can go to the rural areas to see the way your fellow country men live to survive. So many talents have been shut into the darkness as a result of our leader's incessant love for stealing. |

kabrud:So you just concluded that I am from the East. Lol. I am beginning to understand the hate igbo talk about. These people marginalised and butchered by Herdsmen are minority and largely Christians. Yes I relate to Christians because even here on Nairaland with large SW Muslims, I am not even allowed to comment on Muslim topics without converting to Islam first. It does not strike me as people who want me to genuinely relate to them by airing my sincere opinions. So I have every right to feel closer to minority Northern Christians. Whoever anybody voted for is individual right. I do not come from a background where freedom of speech or thought or political persuasion is stifled on religious ground. |

Alleged diversion of crude by Baru has been swept under carpet and reinstatement of NHIS boss who soiled his hands with of N280m fraud by Buhari without the knowledge of minister for health who suspended him. It's glaring that "Mr Integrity" is the weak link in his own chain of anti-corruption fight. |

Daddy I have a problem that have been giving me serious concern and I fell to write to you about it ,I applied for Nigeria police force recruitment exercise in 2016,then after I was invited for a screening exercise in our state headquarter in august 2016(I have the invitation letter).on December 8 2016,police service commission published the names of the whole successful candidate in their website (it’s still there till date) and I was among successful , with registration number ANS/SP/00758,after that on December 26 2016, the whole names were been published on sun daily newspaper(I have the newspaper with me) inviting us to our various training camps. On getting to Police Staff College Jos on Saturday 31 2016,me and some of us that are specialist slated for interview were told to wait, that they will invite us soon ,then on march 2017 Mr. Ikechukwu Ani, who is public relation officer of police service commission made a state on the guardian newspaper that they will invite us alongside with the people of next recruitment exercise, then after that on April 2017 Mr. Mike Okiro who is the chairman of police service commission made the same pronouncement that on premium news that those of us that are waiting will be invited along side with the people of 2017. As at April and early march those of us that are affected gathered at federal secretariat Abuja to do a peaceful demonstration but we were advised by high ranking police officers not to demonstrate against our supposed employer. Daddy since then I have been trying all I could to see if I can join my mate in training camp but all to no avail. Later few of us that are remaining started entering with the help of letters from people like senators, ministers and federal house of reps members, and sir I know that you have a younger sister that is a member of federal house of representative, and I know you are a very influential in the society. Daddy I tried to seek audience with Hon minister of labour and employment Dr Chris Nwabueze Ngige but his Personal Assistant Chidoluo by name could not allow me and my counterpart before I now left Abuja to Onitsha. I was full of tears when my set passed out from Police Staff College Jos last Friday 15/12/2017 as ASP’s. Daddy all I pray and beg of you is ,As the Chairman of Police Service Commission (Mike Okiro) has said that we will be invited along side with people of next recruitment, and now federal government said on news two days ago that they will recruit new policemen, I humbly pray that you may write a letter to the polive service commission on our behalf because am thinking in my mind that whoever that doesn’t have who will protect his/her interest will be left out. Daddy I will ever remain grateful, obedient, and loyal if my prayer will be treated with fatherly love, DADDY I HAVE EVERY DOCUMENT THAT I MENTIONED ABOVE please daddy I don’t know what else to do, Thanks and remain blessed Uyanwa Prince Chukwudozie 08063857515 Patprince4u@gmail.com |
