I don't think the big bang contradicts the creation theory. Mtis and I agree that the universe is old. An atom seems to me like just the right material for God to dramatically bring forth a whole universe.

Lol, the expansion is caused by a force referred to as dark energy. It is the opposite of gravity but still not well understood. Maybe you know who the hell is pushing galaxies apart, from the Bible and what exactly is his plan

Many people predicted the world was a sphere before the bible was written. You dont need wisdom from special powers to predict such things, you just need an inquisitive brain and a good IQ

But it was never recorded in the books. There is nothing astonishing about knowing the earth to be spherical. 3500 yrs ago is when the Greeks figured that earth could be round. And why did the church declare Galileo a heretic for saying the Earth goes round the sun?

First according to wikipedia an other sources the timeline of Ancient Greece was from its emergence around 800 BC to its subjection to the Roman Empire in 146 BC.So there is noway Greek empire predates the bible..And about the bolded ya just being mischievous

Likely, but for me it means a lot more. There is nothing like revelation. The spirit should have shown those church folks that Galileo was right that evening as they prayed. In any case there is no way holy scripture should have been contradicted by such an obvious truth.

Check the book of Job 26:7 (northern skies over empty space; he suspends the earth over nothing ) its very old book than Isaiah...But important question who told those guys tha earth is suspended upon nothing while their contemporary peeps thought that planet rested on the shoulders of a giant or on the backs of elephants that stand on a turtle, as some popular myths of ancient times had it
