Evening mamas in the house
Trust that we and our little ones are fine.

I have question on dressing for baby. Apologies that it is a long post. I'm from the pregnancy thread.

This bodysuit that is called onesis. Can it be worn out alone. When I bought first set I asked those at the shop what baby would wear down and they said no need for anything since baby would be covered with flannel most times. But I'm wondering if this is right. Would I be carrying baby around with open laps, should there not be shorts or leggings.
I bought a few leggings to satisfy my conscience but was beginning to think if it was because of heat that I was told baby could wear bodysuits alone.

Also, These bodysuits are fine but I feel they are too light or would there still be underwear underneath. I didn't really see singlets that can be worn underneath. Possible under wears were also bodysuits, I believe I shouldn't put on 2 bodysuits. Or I'm I supposed to get actual shirts to be worn on the bodysuits?

Pls mamas help me, I'm beginning to realise I don't know how to dress a baby. I didn't buy many things that day cos I suddenly went confused on how to dress baby. So I've come to ask experienced mamas, how best can I dress baby till 3,6 n 9 months? I believe from 12 months they can start putting on regular cloths.

Thank you all.

Bodysuits should be worn with shorts or skirts when going out, unless they look like rompers or its a really hot day.
Get actual clothes if you will be going out.

Let me tell you a secret, I dressed my first child in sleepsuits till he started walking. It was mostly because I didn't want dirty hands touching him all in the name of play cheesy and because he was born during the rainy season.
Don't worry, you'll get better at this kiss

You can wear a body suit for him at home on a hot day. But for outing, i usually pair with matching shorts or trousers. What i do usually when buying clothes for my son, i make a mental picture of things he can match with what i'm getting. And if i cant think of any, i look for something that goes and buy too. So just search for matching shorts.

I used the body suit as inner wear for sleep suits unless there is heat then I wear alone. It's good you bought those leggings. You can also buy tops and trousers. I wore my baby regular clothes as a new born with singlet as inner. This kind-Picture below. Then if there is cold I wear her sweeter then cover with receiving blankets.

I use nutribom because it's cheaper and cereal na cereal biko

How old is your baby?
When I started giving my son nutribom, I started with 4 scoops of cereal and added 2 scoops of milk and then warm water. And I made sure he drank lots of water too. Then I'd give just formula much later.

nutrilac and nutribom are from the same manufacturer but the former has milk in it already,i also got nutribom oat for him, he is 6months old. he suddenly rejected formula when he was 4months but he loves water alot. Thank you ma.

How to prep (how I sabi am)
Soy beans
Yellow or white corn (optional)
Millet (optionla)
Guinea corn (optional)

Additional
G.nut (optional)
Crayfish (optional)
Plantain dried (optional)
Sweet potatoes dried (optional)

U can only choose soybeans + one grain i.e soybeans+corn or soybeans+millet whichever one u want. Gently select ur grains to pick dirt and stones, then fry the grains (soybeans+yellowcorn)one at a time slightly, fry crayfish, fry ur g.nut (without oil)
Put the soybeans in a separate pack this will enable the miller to help u separate the shaft b4 grinding it with the fried corn.

Note: some babies react to seafoods and groundnut so if u will be using crayfish and gnut u might want to blend it separately but if u want to use dried potatoes and plantain u can blend it with the grains.
I only gave my son soybeans powder as he refused crayfish and groundnut, I end up using it to make groundnut soup thats th advantage of grinding it separately
Sis I go dig my old post I no sabi how to repost it

Thanks

I make and sell baby and family essentials, including interior decor, with African print. And they are all made by me from scatch to finish.

Some of my products include playmats (they're extra fluffy and puffy, so your kids can play safely on them without being exposed to injuries). They can also be used by adults for beach hangouts and other stuff. They can even be used as office/home decor.
I also make Rag rugs, dispenser bottle covers, throw pillows, blankets, e.t.c.
awnnn this is sooo beautiful...
