Morata hazard and Willian should start up front. As difficult as it is to accept, our chances of scoring with morata on the pitch will increase if the real pass genius (fab) is in the line up. It will be great to see hazard, morata and willian running onto those fab passes.

forget the form name matters....hearing the name hidden aka one corner add fear to Barca defense they won't come out like that.
For example the first hazard was picked through out while Willy was just free even after hitting post and scoring.

we didnt press Barca though. They were just tapping the ball around in their half. Thats one of the reasons we struggled offensively, cos when we won the ball in our half and wanted to counter, we had nobody to launch the ball up to and ask to help us hold it.

We were having to run at barca players a lot and more often than not ran into cul de sacs.

In short that return leg at Camp Nou is OYO for Us.

Conte should just line up same players from the first leg with the exception of fabregas....morata can come in to replace pedro around 60th or 70th minute while giroud can come in around 80th minute if we need to play long balls

As the game went on, we tired out. It's not easy to sustain a pressing game against Barca for 90 minutes. We will have to implement a low-block defensive line, with intermittent, coordinated pressing bursts, attempting to steal the ball and launching counters at the speed of light.

This means all players participating in the defensive line and all being able to participate in the rapid CAs.


Although I agree with the suggestion in principle, one of the reasons I believe the hold up play may not work is that Barca are pretty rapid themselves and will retrieve play very quickly, before we are able to hold it up and move up field to support. But I may be wrong.

I dont even know if Fab has to be spraying passes anyhow because Conte already encourages Rudiger and Azpi to aggresively dribble into oppostion half and spray cross field balls.

Rudiger is very very good at that, and we all know how good Azpi is at finding his striker frm deep.

I'm also backing the fabregas pick, but I'm expecting him to be the one to coordinate our play and dictate the tempo. No need for hollywood balls from him unless it's on. All he has to do is recycle the ball when play breaks down, and offer a passing outlet for give and goes with the likes of Alonso and Moses.
