Hello Nairalanders, I need some assistance in making a decision.
On 26th of February, I took delivery of a new phone, VKWORLD S8. Unfortunately, the phone gets extremely hot when charging and browsing at the same time.

I called Jumia (I bought through them) on 27th, and they said I should return the phone to their office... Very impressive. This I did on 28th (I have to enjoy the phone small na), and on 1st of March, I got a call from Jumia requesting how I want my refund. I mean, this is another star to their rating!

Now I want to get another phone, I really want to drop my Tecno phone for a 18:9; 5.99"; 2,160*1,080 full screen display, with at least 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM; among other upgrades; with price less than #100,000.

My challenge is that I have done some research, and two phones simply refused to bow to the other!

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 plus
Ulefone Power 3.

Their specs are lovely, prices within range... But I can't seem to be able to decide which of them I like more.

Redmi: 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM; Snapdragon 625 processor, 12mp back Camera, 4,000 mAh battery.
Ulefone: 6GB RAM, 64GB ROM, MTK P23 series (MT6763) processor, 16mp camera, 6,080 mAh battery.

I kind of prefer the Ulefone, but I'm not ready to return anyone I buy next, and I would like to enjoy it. Please friends, I would like a honest review especially about the Redmi Note 5 Plus and give me suggestions as to which one I should go for. Below are their snapshots from Jumia site. Also, the Vkworld I bought that was returned and the overheating screen notification.

For me I'd go for the redmi 5 plus. It doesn't cost that much btw. Check for a cheaper vendor.
How did you manage to buy VKworld. HOW?
Note: No such phone as the Redmi Note 5 plus.

I know Xiaomi is more popular than Ulefone, I would like someone that has used one or both of them to tell me something about the temperature (especially when charging and browsing).

In 2016 Jan. I bought Ulefone Power, specifically for the the high battery capacity (6050 mAh), after using it for 2 months I couldn't continue again, it gets so hot upon making calls and charging. I quickly sent it back to the online shop and was refunded fully, I added little money to it and purchased my current phone Redmi note 3 and the performance has been flawless since then. I will most likely go for a xiaomi phone when next I want to buy.

I'd really like to touch and feel the phone I'm buying before parting with my money. I'm a Gionee fanboy, but it seems like they have decided to shun the Nigeria market and I'm not ready to chase them either.

You can buy from Jumia but likely more expensive, if you have trust issues. I don't think there is any offline store available for you to feel it before you buy.

Unfortunately, Note 5 pro comes with USB type B, not the Type C . Also, it's quick charge 2.0... When people are already upgrading to Quick charge 4.0
