A man was captured by a store's CCTV camera in computer village on the 16th of February, 2018 stealing an iPhone.

He was caught today by the Rapid response squad.

His name is Timilehin Olaniyi and he is the phone thief whose CCTV footage of him stealing a phone (iPhone 8S) at a shop in Computer Village went viral.

The event occurred on the 16th of February and he has been on the run ever since before finally being tracked to Ogun State by RRS operatives.

I wished Fulani heardsmen are caught this quickly!! This guy stole an iPhone.. he goes to jail.. Fulani heardsmen kill and maim whole villages and they walk free!!

Good detective work by our police force. Its very likely the thief didn't know the phone could be tracked.

I really applaud the usage of CCTV in computer village...u see at least one in almost every shops

by next yr,when Qualcomm starts embedding e-sim with CPUs,phone will be the most dangerous device to steal
