Honestly this guy just said the truth but people will also lash out at him. The expectations from the electorates is so demanding. You can't come for re-election and you are telling them you promoted this law and that law. That's gibberish.
I was once in a church and a state house of assembly member freely donated 50k as his own support for an ongoing project, people around me started murmuring, a whole house member donating only 50 thousand naira when those not even in government are donating in hundreds of thousands. We inadvertently push these people to steal with the pressure we mount on them.

Not how it works, in government handling of contratcs companies are placed on a scale, so not just anyone companies can bid for projects, now, if you're a business man with 15 years business records, would you risk your existence to falsify a receipt? Secondly, any receipts that dont lead directly to a company can be termed a fraud and the senatortried for corruption

That money is not actually too big for them. They have to spend during campaign and have a lot of mouth to feed.

As for me, leaving them with salaries alone (750k) means that they have to stop campaigning and electing them for the post.
Let it be based on appointment.

OR
Let them be reduced to just 36 or 37 members only, then they can earn their salaries and running cost (which must be well monitored)
Then the projects should b left for their respective state's executive.

If you are a Senator, will you reject your own "Largess e"? The guy is honest enough to reveal what they are earning, why they are earning it, what contributed to it and how it can be stopped. If he rejects his own, will it stop others from collecting theirs?

The guy also shows areas where things have improved in the monitoring of "constituency project"

Summarily, a senator earns in one month what a professor earns in almost two and half years. In four years, a senator would've earned What a prof earns in about 120 years or What 3 or four professors earn in the length of 35-year civil service. Why won't they kill to get into office?

I hope our youth who are hailing these people can understand what is going on.

The monies these people are spending is your money. They are not doing you a favour.
Hold their feet to the fire and demand accountability. It is your right.

But what we have is people defending these guys and asking them to continue even when they have clearly failed the nation.
