It's difficult to deal with certain injuries, very difficult. Most of them deals you a huge psychological blow, even after full recuperation.

I used to be a tough tackling player - Naingollan-esque, but not until I fractured my toe in a match. After months of going through excruciating pains, I came back forgetting who I was. The damn injury humbled me that i went from Naingollan to Mikel Obi.

It was just difficult to be tough again. I started dodging certain tackles and giving more excuses. It's not that I couldn't launch those tackles again, i could, my timing, awareness and aggression were all intact. What actually restrained me was my mind, the modafucker kept reminding me of those excruciating pains I suffered when I fractured my toe, that was a psychological blow an ordinary toe injury dealt me. I needed months of 'getting roughed up' before I mutated into a beast again.

So I understand what these ninjas go through after certain injuries, more especially, the ones that go through the knives.
