Y0ruba:The lies in and twisted truth in this your post are just so many and unfortunate 1. Igbos stood shoulder to shoulder with MKO Abiola. When Abacha wanted to devour Abraham Adesanya and co, a man called Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu gave NADECO his home to hold secure meetings. 2. The allegation that Igbos waxed records after Nzeogwu's coup and celebrated openly has been quashed over and over again. The coup was celebrated by everybody until the revisionists went crazy with the kind of propaganda you are spreading here. 3. Yorubas taunting of Northern politicians when they came to Lagos for the 1951 conference in Lagos at Race course Onikan angered the northerners who carried out a genocide on southerners in Kano but Igbos were affected most The lies are too many...repent |

The original post is very short sighted. The turn-by-turn aligning by the north with either East or West is due to the anomaly that has the north enjoy a mathematical advantage at the legislature from the 1st Republic till this 4th Republic we are currently in. Yoruba and Igbo combined cannot do anything fundamental like getting true federalism by amending the constitution because the north will always out vote the south. Fact!!! The southern tribes have been left with no choice but to align with north or lose out generally. The British gave the north this advantage. That is the main issue. |

Onijagidijagan:Let me help him; Ajayi Crowther hated Igbo and taught them how to read. Herbert Macaulay hated Igbos and gave NCNC to Azikiwe. Wole Soyinka hated Igbos and risked his neck for them. Banjo hated Igbo and led them to victory until they killed him and eventually lost the war. Obasanjo hated Igbo and gave them juicy appointments. Yoruba hated Igbo but gave them back their properties, no abandoned properties after the civil war. Yoruba hated Igbo but GTB helped Innoson to start his IVM. Yoruba hated Igbo GTB helped Nestoil build the Nestoil Tower. Yoruba hate Igbos.Igbos called Yoruba ancestral land,Lagos .. no man's land...and nobody lynched them but instead carried placards against bad mouthing oba of Lagos. etc |

rhemmiedream:Your above submission is the reason why Igbos regard Yorubas as eternal fools fit for the shithole only . You are a dumb ass fool not to understand that although Igbos have sacrificed their lives in millions for them to be fenced out of Nigeria/lagos only to be pulled back by Yorubas/Hausa/fulani....are jubilating in secret as to what would be the ultimate outcomes of the Yorubalization of lagos. "We welcome it in secret". |
| Re: Igbo V Yoruba, By Cheta Nwanze by Alariiwo: 11:15pm On Mar 13, 2018 |
The only problem is because Yorubas are liberal people, reason Igbos always want to take us for granted. Or how else can we explain Zik an Igbo man trying to become Premier in the West instead of East? Dem born him papa well make he go try that one with Hausas?? How do you explain Igbos taking over VC posts in South West universities when there are over competent Yoruba professors there to do the Job? Even some unqualified ones get appointed over qualified Yoruba professors in Yorubaland. Well, all that is in the past now, everyone now has limits and boundaries. Let Igbos go and dominate North if they can. |

AfonjaConehead:Ahhh...so finally you admit it. Nigerians knew the whole Biafran charade was fake and was all about blackmailing the country from the very beginning. So you didn't know the nation needed ironing during the 5 locust years of the otueke drunkard? Fish sense. That's why we didn't hesitate to shoot down the evil fraudulent terrorist ipob and send Cownu on a journey of no return. |

mercyville:Igbos cannot even dare say Yoruba hate them. In fact it is the other way round. As regards the abandoned properties, my grandfather who was a neighbour/to an Igbo landlord at Ebute-metta Lagos, collected rents from his tenants without the Igbo landlords knowledge. The tenants kept fighting my grandfather that what was his business with the house sebi the Igbo man has left for Biafra and they now own the house and would not pay rent. The Igbo man came back to Lagos after the war and thanked my grandfather that he thought he had lost the house and that he only came to check around. My grandfather handed over the 3 years rent money that he used to start over his life and also the key to the house. So igbos cannot say we hate them with the appointments they get and the freedom to even contest in some elections in Lagos. It is them that have never done a single favour for the Yorubas so they dare not say we hate them instead they are the ones always reciprocating our kind gesture with hate. |

Where does one even start when you are swapping blame, sticking what you are guilty of on others and lying this much in broad day light? You know that every single thing you mentioned below is a natural attribute of you ibos. Where do we begin when you can't even allow one simple truth to come out of you? You are becoming a danger to yourself, because no one would want to deal with people who wear lies like a badge of honor. horsepower101: |

The two tribes can't work together. It is evident in the past and present, and will likely not change in the future. A strict Confederacy is what Nigeria needs. Make all man paddle him canoe. All this childish blame-game will then die a natural death. |

I laugh when i come across or read such, you guys have no idea about what transpired between zik and awolowo. It was never a tribal battle but a fraternity battle. Azikiwe was a member of the ogboni fraternity, while Awolowo was a member of the amorc fraternity. The battle was who would deliver nigeria to his fraternity. Zik penetrate the western politics due to his membership of his fraternity. Same thing happens in almost all sectors of our nation. The school fraternity are not left out. Why do you think a benin, yoruba and igbo student would partake in the killing of his own tribal mate, without any tribalist instinct. The battle was a fraternity battle. They made the gullible masses think it was a tribal battle. |
