Has anyone gotten the Oreo update on the Samsung S8? Please how do i update my own too?

I'm using a US version. TMobile Carrier anyways.

Go and check it manually. Checked mine and I saw it there. About 1.4Gb

That was three weeks ago. If yoiu haven't received the update yet, it's a carrier holding it back. You have the USA unlocked version with you which means it runs SD835.

Don't bother yourself about the update, it's not too different and battery life is even worse.

From this I think you're using an international version which are the very last to receive update automatically. If you know more about flashing of Stock rom, You can browse through Xda developers and download the Oreo ROM and flash manually.

This isn't an hardware thing but software so he doesn't need an engineer. Secondly, if he can't get it done by himself, he should stick to Nougat which is very stable. Those engineers don't know about these kinds things

Hope you know those are general things. People will always flash devices and unlock phones, even a noob must have heard of that before. It's different from backing up your entirely device, downloading the firmware , downloading late version of Odin, flashing the phone, clear cache afterwards and restore it back.


N.B. Flashing and unlocking devices are done with software's they already have and phone they have done a number of times whilst they might not even know where to download Oreo from or the version to use.

Got the update notification today.... Now I'm wondering if i really want to update it based on battery drain and performance lags people complained about.
