Apart from the UAC connection, all the Abebe boys attended St Gregory's College and almost all the Murray-Bruce boys also attended St Gregory's College.

Ben Murray-Bruce was the senior prefect at St Gregory's College and Dr John Abebe is the current president of St Gregory's College Old Boys Association.

Sir Christopher was the first Nigerian chairman of UAC. He was employed by UAC in 1935, became deputy chairman of the company in 1972 and was its Chairman and CEO from 1975-1980. He was also chairman of Nigerian Breweries, Vitafoam Nigeria and ICON Merchant Bank.

Unfortunately several of his children died before him.
