My concern is the water closet they just destroyed .

Not always true because some cesspits located very close to the bush are not covered with air vents.

This makes it very easy for reptiles to find their way into the pits in search of food and most times, find it difficult to find their way out. They are then forced to take whatever means possible to creep out of the unhabitable environment. Logically, they maneuver their way to where activities seem to happen (like flushing a cistern), hence, gaining access to the house.
