I have a very soft spot for the Igala's, as I consider Igala my second tribe because of the kindness shown to me by one Igala family years ago.

The word Igarra is a corrupted word for Igala. The Igalas are found in Akoko Edo local government of Edo state headquartered at Igarra. The speak the Ibaji dialect of Igala language. Thank you.

The news should have being that a man from a minority tribe in Anambra was appointed a commissioner.

While the Governor deserves an applause for this, I am not exactly sure how this qualifies as history.

Hopefully, Edo State can do the same for the Minorities like the Ijaws in Gelegele,and Bayelsa the same for the Urhobo's from Bayelsa State too.

My brother. Igala and Igbo are interwoven. Those you call Igala today and those you call Igbos are all sons and daughters of one family. There are those you call Igbo today who are actually Igala. People like Emmanuel Okala. There are those you call Igala today who are actually Igbo People like the current Atta of Igala.
