The Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Acho Ihim, yesterday, led 19 members of the house to endorse the governorship ambition of the Chief of Staff and son-in-law to Governor Rochas Okorocha, Chief Uche Nwosu.

Ihim who read the position of the lawmakers at a press briefing in Owerri said Nwosu remained “the best and most plausible panacea to the issue of disjointed and often abandoned projects syndrome that hitherto constituted a clog in the wheel of progress in most instances.”

Ihim, who is leading the campaign team tagged “Team Nwosu”, argued that the decision of the 20 lawmakers to ensure that Nwosu took over from Okorocha was taken in the overall interest of the state.

He added that the legacies of the Okorocha-led administration “are so good and too numerous to be left in the hands of those who may not have any inkling of what they are, where they are or how to sustain them.”

I never knew Imo State had House Of Assembly... Their support is inconsequential and of no political use or advantage.

Acho ihim what a scheme of a man, he's doing all these eye servicing in other to be nwosu's running mate. Truth be told only Acho had came out to voice his support to nwosu because of he's scheming to be his running mate, and 2 or 3 disgruntled house members from orlu zone had supported nwosu's ambition. My prayer every day is God let Okorocha have his way and hand over apc governorship ticket to his son inlaw, that will make it more easier for the opposition to grab power on a platter of gold without struggling for it.

The downfall of Rochas is very close.

The lawmakers cant decide for the people of imo because of their selfish reasons. I pity for Imo and Imolite coz it has been hijacked and under heavy manipulations

This is a grand opportunity for imolites to teach those vagabond lawmakers a seriously historical lesson that they were voted in there to serve their people and not their pockets by voting all of them out next time. This will sanitize the state polity and send warning signals to any other intending self-serving politician in the making.
