He could have called ten thousand angels
They bound the hands of Jesus in the garden where he prayed. They led him thru the streets in shame
They spat upon the savior so pure and free from sin
They said, "crucify him: he's to blame

Upon his precious head they placed a crown of thorns
They laughed and said, "Behold the king"
They struck him and they cursed him and mocked his holy name. All alone he suffered everything.

When they nailed him to the cross, his mother stood nearby, He said, "Woman, behold thy son!"
He cried, "I thirst for water," but they gave him none to drink. Then the sinful work of man was done.

To the howling mob he yielded: he did not for mercy cry
The cross of shame he took alone. And when he cried, "It’s finished," he gave himself to die
Salvation's wondrous plan was done.

Some people who cal themselves Christians did not fast during the Lenten season but they will be the first to eat the Easter rice and chicken.
Many didn't even know the season we are in until the holidays were declared. That's how far drawn we are from God today. May the mercy of God never depart from us.
Jesus said HE is coming back again. I believe.

Show me where it was written that its mandatory to observe the 40days fast

Planing to do something before seeing this, now I can say I will surely forgive the person who offended me for the LORD gave every thing to make me who I am today despite the fact I deserve nothing due to my sinful life.
LORD I am not ashamed to see for thy grace and forgiveness, please create a new heart in me and take away this pain, this unforgiving spirit and help me to find peace in you.

But unfortunately for many Christians, it is not finished.

Many Christians are still trying to finish the work and earn God's approval through their own self efforts.

Its a very sad scenario to see ignorant religious people try to earn God's approval or a place in heaven by their Good works I wonder if they really understand what happened when Christ died

A Muslim who mocks your belief in Jesus is no Muslim at all. A Muslim's belief is contradictory to a Christian's in many ways but definitely not through your belief in God, the book or Jesus

Do this in memory of me...
I watched children today watch in awe as the passion of Christ was being dramatised and I saw it brought the stories they had heard come to life and I prayed a short prayer for them. I hope every generation will have such meaningful memorial of Jesus' passion and resurrection dramatised and taught them.
God told the Jews to tell their children and children’s children about their slavery, exodus and covenant to keep it new, fresh and known in every generation.
Sadly many Christians do not explain to their children the nitty gritty of their faith founded on the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
May their eyes be enlightened to know Jesus Christ as Saviour and soon of God
